Plan, layout and construct various Traffic signal systems, lighting, telecommunications, and associated Signal intersection equipment.

Trouble shoot traffic signals, various manufacturers controllers, monitors, and Traffic Signal controlling system components.
Change, set and adjust timings on signal controllers as needed and as directed.
Programs signal controllers for coordinated operation as needed and as directed.

Coordinate work, material and equipment needed, work with a team and schedule crew members daily and in 2 week look ahead in order to effectively manage installations on multiple jobsites of varying types.
Tracks inventory to ensure adequate parts and supplies are on-hand.
Performs emergency work on an as needed basis for active contracts or projects.



High school diploma or GED. Must be IMSA Traffic Signal Field Tech Level II or Level III certified. Licensed Journeyman in IA. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in traffic signal construction and maintenance.


Able to work nights as necessary to construct and complete projects.

Able to safely operate different types of underground and aerial equipment such as: mini-excavator, skid-loader, digger derrick, bucket or platform truck.
Able to coordinate work on multiple job-sites throughout the year and in the elements. Able to be flexible in work type and perform work duties for other company projects as needed.

Possess or be able to obtain OSHA 10, Class A CDL

Knowledge of principles and theories of electricity and electronics. Knowledge and experience in construction of Traffic signal and street lighting systems from start to finish, provide past project history with references.Flexible. Positive attitude.
